A trip to the beach, 436 cig butts later..

As part of a short documentary that I’m making, I spent a day at English Bay Beach in Vancouver. I combed the entire beach for garbage and collected all types of foreign debris. In four hours I collected hundreds of cigarette butts (even though Vancouver has a by-law against smoking in parks and beaches) as well as a lot of small bits of plastic and half of a large garbage bag full of disposable drink containers.
